PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) is hands-on CPR, AED, and first aid training that prepares everyday people to help during an emergency. It’s for everyone—not just divers—and requires no prior medical experience.
Learn the skills and build the confidence to help during a medical emergency. This hands-on course teaches participants how to recognize emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and deliver first aid while waiting for emergency medical services.
Through Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) training, students practice scene safety, barrier use, responding to choking, managing serious bleeding and shock, assessing injuries and illnesses, bandaging, and splinting.
Designed for divers and non-divers alike, EFR requires no previous medical training. Guided practice and realistic scenarios help students become more confident emergency responders.
Participants who successfully complete the course requirements receive an Emergency First Response course completion card.
